Private View
It was a pleasure to collaborate with the Anglo-Ecuadorian Society in the United Kingdom and The Gallery at Green Stone to host a private view of my exhibition, A Tale of the Andes, for the Society’s members. Together we embarked on a journey through time and revisited the ancestral richness of our land, the struggles of our ancestors, and the deep beauty of the Andes that we Ecuadorians and our friends have shared for generations.

To celebrate the opening of her exhibition, Recuerdos de Los Andes, Diana Mercado has donated a clutch with her painting, Baile de Inmigrante, created by acclaimed British designer, Anya Hindmarch, for a raffle to benefit the Galápagos Conservation Trust. The Galápagos Conservation Trust is the only UK registered charity to focus solely on the conservation of the Galápagos Islands, one of the most unique and ecologically important but vulnerable areas in the world. With nearly 30 years of experience supporting impactful conservation programs in Galápagos, the Trust works with Ecuadorian authorities, NGOs, local communities and scientists. By raising funds and awareness in the UK, the Trust is able to support and deliver projects in Galápagos and respond to key threats facing the Islands, focusing on restoring natural habitats, protecting threatened species and driving sustainable solutions.
